The Audubon Society of
Rhode Island has instituted a set of health guidelines for those attending our
programs.
For family programs we ask
that all parents do their best to ensure their child or children are well when
attending an Audubon Society of Rhode Island program. We ask parents to refrain from bringing their
child to an Audubon program if they have had any of the following:
- A fever of 100.4° or higher within the
last 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24
hours
- Exhibited any symptoms of any childhood
communicable disease
- A common cold with discolored mucus
- A sore throat or persistent cough
- An undiagnosed rash or skin infection
- Suspected mononucleosis
- Pinkeye or other contagious eye infection
- Complaint of persistent pain
- Head Lice
- An inoculation or vaccination of a live
virus within 48 hours (MMR, Chicken Pox, Small Pox, Poliovirus vaccine)
- If a child does not appear well enough to
participate in the program
These guidelines are for
the comfort and well being of all our participants and their children.
Should a child arrive at a
program exhibiting any of the above symptoms the program leader has the right
to ask the parent and child to leave.
The Audubon Society of
Rhode Island reserves the right to adjust these guidelines at any time.
