There are many ways Audubon can enhance your student's learning experience while helping you meet the Rhode Island Grade Span Expectations as well as other state standards.

Audubon's philosophy of education is built upon a hands-on, inquiry-based approach that engages students in the learning process. Audubon programs are designed to bring a variety of environmental-based learning experiences to students ages pre-K to adult. We cover a wide range of topics, from field to shore and everything in between.  Our experienced educators specialize in providing interactive learning experiences that encourage investigation of the natural world. Our programs explore the varied habitats of Southern New England and help enrich an understanding of human interrelationships with the environment.

Whether you would like to visit our Environmental Education Center in Bristol, have an Audubon educator bring a program to your school, or you would like to visit one of our many outdoor classrooms across the state, Audubon has something for your group.

At Audubon's Environmental Education Center in Bristol your class can explore and learn through our indoor exhibits or venture outside on our 28-acre outdoor classroom that reaches the shores of Narragansett Bay . Some of our programs include Wetland Detectives, Life in the Tide Pool, Habitats, and Coastal Explorations.

Audubon has other wildlife refuges around the state that your students can visit for an outdoor learning experience.  Look for the nearest one to your school:

Audubon also has a team of educators that bring a variety of environmental programs to schools around the state. Some of our classroom programs include Amazing Arthropods, Life Cycles, Birds of Prey and even the Inflatable Whale. So let us visit you at your school!
